Round table *Right to Unite of Workers: Present and Future*

The Fund for the Development of Parliamentarism in Kazakhstan and Central Asian and Kazakhstani society development NPO held a round table "Right to unite of workers: present and future". The event took place on June 15, 2021 from 10:00 to 13:30 on the Zoom online platform.
 
 
The round table was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Care of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, labor unions and NGOs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Participants of the National Network of NGOs of Kazakhstan on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Members of the Central Asia Network on the Right to Adequate Housing (organizations from four countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan) , experts and representatives of republican and / or branch, primary labor union organizations.
This round table was held with the aim of discussing the current state of labor unions in the Republic of Kazakhstan and facilitating interaction between the government, academia, international and public organizations to promote effective policies for the positive socio-economic impact of trade unions.
The round table was attended by Dmitry Tikhonov - expert of the Kazakhstan International Bureau for Human Rights and Rule of Law, Farid Aliyev - Chairman of the Zan-Kenes Association of Law Chambers, Maigul Nugmanova - Head of the Center for Gender Economics Research at Narxoz University and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Kazakhstan and Central Asian and Kazakhstani society development NPO and Nurlan Uteshev - Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Representatives of industry and professional trade unions supplemented the event with their vision of the situation.
